UT Knoxville & Fort Sanders

Collision Repair for UT Knoxville Students

About 5 minutes from campus — 2153 Sutherland Ave, straight out Kingston Pike.

Campus driving is its own kind of hard on a car: parking decks, one-way streets in the Fort, packed apartment lots, and thousands of cars moving in and out twice a year. Most of what we see from students isn't a wreck — it's a scrape, a dent, or a bumper someone backed into and drove off from.

All Colors Body Shop has been fixing Knoxville vehicles for over 30 years, same location since 2018. We're family-owned, we answer the phone, and we'll tell you straight whether a repair is worth filing a claim over.

What we fix for students

The campus damage we see every semester

  • Parking garage scrapes

Tight ramps in the campus decks take off mirrors, rub bumpers, and crease quarter panels. Most of it is paint and plastic work we turn around fast.

  • Hit-and-run in the lot

Came out of class to a dent and no note? We document the damage properly so your comprehensive or uninsured-motorist claim goes through cleanly.

  • Move-in and move-out damage

August and May are rough on bumpers. Loading zones, curbs, and tight apartment lots around the Fort send us the same repairs every semester.

  • Door dings and dents

Paintless dent repair keeps the factory finish, which protects resale value — a big deal on a car your family plans to keep after graduation.

  • First accident, no idea what to do

Call us before you call anyone else. We'll walk you through the claim in plain English and tell you honestly whether it's worth filing.

  • Out-of-state plates and carriers

Half of campus is insured somewhere else. We work with every major carrier nationwide and handle the paperwork directly with the adjuster.

Parents: we'll deal with you directly

If you're four states away and paying the bill, you shouldn't have to get updates secondhand from a 19-year-old between classes. Put your name and number on the file and we'll send the estimate, the photos, and every status update straight to you — and talk to your insurance company so nobody has to.

How it works

Four steps, mostly from your phone

  1. 1

    Send photos

Text or upload photos of the damage from your phone. No appointment needed to get a number.

  2. 2

    We write the estimate

An honest estimate, usually the same day, with what's cosmetic and what actually matters.

  3. 3

    We handle insurance

We talk to the adjuster, submit supplements, and keep you (and your parents) updated by text.

  4. 4

    Pick it up

Color-matched, cleaned up, and ready. Ask about timing around finals or break.

Semester timing

Drop it off when you don't need it

The smartest time to repair a student car is when it's just sitting there anyway. Bring it in before finals, before winter break, or before you head home in May, and pick it up finished when you're back on campus. We'll hold the schedule around your semester instead of the other way around.

Where our campus customers come from

Student FAQ

Questions we get from campus

My insurance is from another state — is that a problem?
Not at all. We work with every major carrier in the country. The claim is handled the same way whether your policy is from Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, or anywhere else.
Can my parents handle the claim if they're paying?
Yes. Put them on the file and we'll send the estimate, the photos, and the status updates directly to them while you're in class.
How close are you to campus?
About five minutes. We're at 2153 Sutherland Ave, straight out Kingston Pike from the Fort Sanders side of campus.
Should I file a claim or just pay out of pocket?
Depends on the deductible. Send us photos first — if the repair comes in near or under your deductible, we'll tell you, and you can skip the claim entirely.
Can you work on it while I'm home for break?
That's the easiest way to do it. Drop the car with us before you leave and pick it up when you're back on campus.
Do you offer student pricing?
We give straight, no-padding estimates to everybody. Call us and we'll go over the options — including repairing rather than replacing where it's safe to do so.

Dented on campus? Send us photos.

Free estimate from your dorm, your apartment, or the parking deck you're standing in. We'll tell you what it takes to fix it and how long it'll be in the shop.
